Traditionally hard fought games, United are favourites this time after Notts fail to impress the fans with their team reinforcements during the close season. Last season's Bramall Lane encounter finished 1-1: The Wizard reluctantly suggests a 3-0 scoreline in favour of United this year.

Tony McMahon: Misses out on season opener
Team news ahead of Friday's League One clash between Sheffield United and Notts County at Bramall Lane.
Summer signings Febian Brandy, Lyle Taylor, Stephen McGinn, Sean McGinty, Jasper Johns and Conor Coady, on loan from Liverpool until January, are all hoping to be included in the matchday squad for Blades manager David Weir's first competitive game in charge of the club.Weir has a full-strength squad to choose from apart from defender Tony McMahon, who sustained an ankle injury in the recent friendly draw with York.
Teenager George Long will resume in goal following his first-team breakthrough last season and midfielder Michael Doyle will continue as skipper.
Magpies manager Chris Kiwomya has a full squad to choose from at Bramall Lane.
The fixture was selected to mark the 125th anniversary of the Football League and sees the oldest club visit the oldest ground in the league.
Kiwomya, ahead of his first full season in charge, has no problems for the game. Captain Dean Leacock and fellow defender Mustapha Dumbuya were merely rested from the last pre-season game against Ipswich to make sure they were ready.
As well as Dumbuya, Kiwomya has five more summer signings - Malcolm Melvin, Andy Haworth, David Bell, Danny Haynes and Mark Fotheringham - who are hoping to make their debuts.
