Adopt A US Soldier
- Adopt A US Soldier is a non-profit organization that seeks volunteers to help show the brave men and women fighting for our freedom that their sacrifices will not go unnoticed. Stars For Our Troops
- Four women send stars from worn-out flags to military men and women. We are accepting names and addresses of soldiers currently serving, so they can receive their Stars. 100 Stars are sent to all currently serving. Veterans will receive 50 Stars to share.
Operation Welcome Home Maryland

A Helping Hoof
- A Helping Hoof will provide specially trained rescue horses to qualified Wounded Warriors. These horses will vastly improve the individual's self-esteem and, at the same time, significantly contribute to his/her ability to readjust into today's society.

- Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings.
The Hugs Project
- Our most pressing need is Marines and National Guard members who have been sent to Afghanistan (where the worst of the fighting is taking place). They are stationed deep in enemy territory where we haven't been before. Thank you for having a HUGe heart for some of America's finest young men and women.

Hugs For Heroes
-Hugs for Heroes is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that ships care packages containing essential items and notes of love and support to units serving overseas. Since 2004, we have shipped over 10 tons of goods to Iraq and Afghanistan, and our shipments are ongoing all year round.

-The Kitchen Table Gang Trust is a rag-tag bunch of military types trying to make life a little more pleasant for our hospitalized veterans at VA Hospitals throughout the United States and our soldiers & Marines deployed overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Alaska's Healing Hearts
- Alaska's Healing Hearts year round nationwide outdoor programs include hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreational programs for our nations brave wounded warriors, these activities are termed "social reintegration" by therapists. They are not just the clinical rehabilitation programs which injured military personnel usually participate in; they also provide disabled Veterans with hope that they can live active and productive lives.

Tempered Steel, Inc

For military families who are expecting a new baby and are experiencing or have recently experienced deployment, we accomplish our mission through: hosting amazing baby showers, delivering high-quality products, creating a shared experience, partnering with organizations to provide value-added services, such as health-related information.
Yellow Ribbon Photographers
- Being away from the ones you love while serving our country can be difficult. We understand, and we want you to be able to have a little piece of home while you're away. Yellow Ribbon Photographers is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 by Andy and Michele of Normand-Ashley Photography, consisting of member photographers that have donated their talent and time to photographing servicemen and women. Our goal is to provide professional images to soldiers who are about to deploy, so that they may bring along a small piece of home with them. On a case-by-case basis, the loved ones of soldiers who have already left can request a photographer for special occasions (birth of a child, etc.) or as a simple reminder of home.
American War Mothers
- Maryland "Star Spangled" Chapter #1 Our main goal is to support our current military and our veterans.  The biggest single thing we do is mailing care packages weekly to our deployed military.  We participate in Operation Welcome Home at BWI Airport as often as we can.  We take donated items to the MCVETS center in downtown Baltimore. Proceeds from our fundraiser's and private donations support our care package mailings. 
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
- TAPS is the 24/7 tragedy assistance resource for ANYONE who has suffered the loss of a military loved one, regardless of the relationship to the deceased or the circumstance of the death. Founded out of tragedy in 1994, TAPS has established itself as the front line resource to the families and loved ones of our military men and women. TAPS provides comfort and care through comprehensive services and programs including peer based emotional support, case work assistance, crisis intervention, and grief and trauma resources.

Operation Christmas Tree
- Operation Christmas Tree started after our daughter was deployed to Iraq. The idea was born after we decided to send a 'bit of home' during the holiday season which consisted of one standard size Christmas tree. Unfortunately we faced the issue of how to ship it. After deliberating we came up with the idea of shipping two foot tall trees to as many service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, including our daughter. This was a major success among those that received the trees and because of this we have decided to make Operation Christmas Tree a yearly project until our troops are home.
