610 Byzantine Emperor Heraclius' fleet took
Constantinople. He was responsible for introducing Greek as the Eastern
Empire's official language.
869 4th Council of Constantinople (8th Ecumenical Council)
opened.
1553 Queen Mary's first Parliament met and
declared Katherine of Aragon's marriage to Henry VIII legitimate, and also
declared the Queen's birth legitimate.
