Mr. Chuckles conjures up Hawaiian Paranormal author Amy "Godhunter" Sumida - around the Wizard's Cauldron

The Wizard asks Amy to tell us about herself:

I was born and raised here in Hawaii. I went to a public school in Kaneohe where I was Goth before they had a name for it and an artist(to this day, I run into old classmates who know me as “that weird artsy girl”).  That was pretty rough here, where everyone expects you to be an island girl, wearing cute cotton dresses and surfing in the afternoon. I actually hate the beach, there are pictures of me as a child, sitting on the beach with my sun-loving mother, holding a towel over my head.

The Wizard's Cauldron: Ireland's Olive Collins...around the Cauldron!

Mr. Chuckles was eavesdropping on the Wiz Phone, checking out Olive Collins' Irish accent

The Great Wizard says:

Late in 2012, I bumped into Irish writer Olive Collins' novel Crocheting with Kurt Cobain for reasons which are now lost to antiquity. It's not the kind of novel I was reading at the the time, but I found myself reading the preview and I was most impressed.

There and then, I said to myself that Olive would be a valued addition to the Cauldron archives and this week, I spoke to Olive on the Wizphone as she ambled merrily along the lush green gallops of the Coolmore racehorse training complex, Ballydoyle, in County Tipperary.

Mr. Chuckles Braves the Glades

Everglades, Exposures and Elise Van Cise...around the Cauldron

Elise VanCise.

Floridean, mother, freelance photojournalist, award winning author, published in print and digital media. Serious blogger. And all this too...

Elise is a Florida Cracker, with a love for adventure and historic places. NaNoWriMo Municipal Liaison for Lake County, Florida, Founder of Lake Writers of Lake County, Florida. Charter member of Authors in the Park, Member of Marketing for Romance Writers.Org, EPIC Public Relations Team, Member of Coffee Time Romance Brew Crew, Advocate for Public Libraries, Young Writers, Autism, COPD

Just reading what she does on a daily basis is enough to send a lazy man reaching for his sleeping cap. Knowing that, with this kind of action in her life, any window we had to connect was a tiny one in the bathroom rather than one of those giant French ones in the lounge, I picked up the Wizphone post haste and contacted Elise, who was aquaplaning about a swampy delta on one of those cool hovercraft thingies while we nattered.

Mr. Chuckles visits the Wizard's Cauldron where Fantasy Writer Mande Matthews discusses her books

Marky the Wizard says:

In the penultimate Matt Posner interview, the  Cauldron is today graced by the multi-talented  Mande Matthews

Graphic designer, company owner, animal lover, Mozart buff, prolific fantasy writer and author of the lauded ShadowLight Saga. Mande is another of those people who manage to do everything but build the ark on any given day and whose productivity is an inspiration to us all.

Sagas, prequels, mini-series, the kitchen sink: Mande is a testament to hard work and application and proof that spending ten hours a day on social networks isn't always the best use of a writer's time.

This is one of the most absorbing interviews I've carried out and there is a free copy of the prequel to her saga available to everyone who reads it.   So without further ado, here's what Mande had to say from somewhere deep in the US.

Mr. Chuckles is not afraid of Vampires - are you? Check out Succubus by Gladys Quintal

Australian Vampire Fiction Writer Gladys Quintal Talks About Succubi.
This morning, we hear from well known paranormal (with a nice spot of slap and tickle thrown in for good measure), vampire fiction writer Gladys Quintal, once again who is about to release Book 4 in her series of novels.
This one, called Succubus, is by all accounts the best tome yet.
A resident of the West of Australia, she has been a writer for some time and is also an advocate for those misdiagnosed by doctors and also survivors of child abuse. She is an extremely interesting person who is well worth following on social media and better still, worth getting to know.
Taking time out from exploring the local Jarrah Forest, Gladys took off her boots, sat on her hat, and settled down under a tree to talk to me on the Wizphone, the high pitched staccato of kukkaburras and parakeets, the essential musical accompaniment.

Mr. Chuckles stopped by The Wizard's Cauldron, meeting Sci Fi author Yvonne Anderson

Marky the Wizard says:

This week - from her foreboding citadel just outside Cadiz - amidst the orange groves, the raging bulls, bunches of giant pomegranates hanging from parched trees, underneath the illumination of cobalt skies and in the glare of the ever-burning sun, the wonderful Ngaire Elder is back around the Cauldron, by popular demand.
