357 Emperor Constantius II,
after dealing with the Franks, visited Rome before moving his army north to
campaign against the Sarmatians, Suevi and the Quadi along the Danube.
Constantius spent most of his reign quelling uprisings throughout the Roman
Empire, succumbing to a fever in the winter of 361 at Mopsucrene (central
Turkey).
